Art show

All our sketched self portraits were set out with the names covered.  We had time to look at them all and then write the name we thought the self portrait belonged to.  The sketches were so life like that nearly everyone's guess was correct!  You can view all the self portraits (with their names showing!) on our Visual Art page.

Welcome to Term 2

We read our published stories before they went up on the classroom wall.

Easter Egg Hunt

Scouring the sand pit for Easter eggs!
Everyone could go into the Junior sandpit to look for an Easter egg after their fizz bob had landed. There were lots of popping cannisters and running feet!

Cockle Bay Carnival

Lauren won the school prize for the cutest dragon for the Cockle Bay Carnival

Science Week - butterfly feeders

After our butterflies hatched, it was even more important to make sure they had plenty of food.  We made butterfly feeders and filled them with a saturated sugar solution for the butterflies to feed on.

Science Week - working with indicators in Chemistry

Charlotte grouped her samples according to colour.
Zeb and Zach had a fizzing reaction in one of their test tubes.
Esmond sorted his samples to make a recurring pattern.

CBS Fun Run 2015

We counted the marks on the back of our hands to see how many laps we had done.
Charlie, Zhilin and Cooper were quite relaxed before the race!

We set off in one tremendous rush of energy!

CBS Science Week - Straw Rockets

We had to measure using centimetres to make our straw rockets.

We had to measure the distance they travelled in metres.

CBS Science Week - Fly Butterfly!

Our first butterfly hatched on the first day of Science Week.  Mia is our Science Monitor so she very gently took it outside where it spread its wings and flew off, high in the sky.
