Weka Day Camp

You had to be patient and wait a long time for the sausages to cook.
Orienteering map, chart . . .  ready to go!
It was a good feeling coming back to base with your orienteering chart stamped, ready for the next map.
We had to read our orienteering map carefully to check that we went in the right direction to find our flag.
We had to pierce the sausages to check if they were cooked in the middle.
Our camp cooling definitely hit the spot!

We were able to try the tents out for size, once we had erected them with parents' help.

While there were lots of steps to climb, there were also plenty of downhill sections where the going was a bit easier

We had to follow our maps on the tramp to find our way through the Totora Bush.
Weka Day Camp definitely deserved a Hi 5!
